CDI Website Fraudulent Job Posting Scam

We have received recent reports of fraudulent emails purporting to be sent from CDI Corp., associated CDI businesses, or recruiters working on behalf of CDI. These emails generally feature “work-at-home” employment opportunities.

The fraudulent emails, which do not originate from any CDI email domains, or those of any of our businesses, ask recipients to contact the sender to start the hiring process by downloading software, providing confidential personal information, requesting a fee or providing a check to pay for office supplies from an “approved vendor”. The fraudulent message may also offer an interview via Google Hangouts.

CDI Corp. will never request a candidate to download software or pay a fee of any kind nor would we conduct interviews via Yahoo Messenger or Google Hangouts.

If you wish to verify the legitimacy of any email purporting to have been sent by or on behalf of CDI recruiters, please inquire via email at cdi-staffing@cdicorp.com.

If you have been victimized by this scam you can contact local law enforcement as well as the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (http://www.ic3.gov) to file a complaint.
