Canada celebrates National Engineering Month this March with a variety of activities and events intended to showcase to youth and students the benefits of an engineering career.
The month is “Canada’s largest celebration of engineering excellence, where volunteers from the provincial and territorial regulators host over 500 events that show Canadians how rewarding an engineering career can truly be,” according to the website of the initiative.
There will be events focused on the range of engineering professions and fields, including chemical, civil, aerospace, mechanical, industrial and software, as well as design competitions and science and engineering fairs. Event attendees will also have the chance to hear advice and insight from foremost Canadian engineers.
“National Engineering Month is a wonderful opportunity for Canada’s youth to discover what engineering can offer them,” said Engineers Canada Interim CEO Stephanie Price in a press release. “I’d encourage youth to attend one of the many events throughout the month, or visit the National Engineering Month website to learn more about how their interests and the world of engineering intersect.”
Events will run throughout the month across the country.
